What do I get when I Subscribe to an Online course?

When you subscribe to an online course you get access to all of the course material for the period specified in the subscription. Where the course has an exam, this is included in the subscription.

What happens if I do not pass the course exam?

If you do not pass the exam then a certificate will not be awarded. You may purchase further opportunities to take the exam. You will be given details of the cost and what you need to do in the event that you do not pass the exam. We reserve the right to limit the number of retakes you may take within a specified period of time.

How do I renew my Subscription?

Your subscription does not renew automatically although you should receive a reminder near to the renewal date. Your subscription can be renewed by going to My Account Subscriptions and paying the renewal invoice.

What do I get when I book to attend a Classroom Course?

When you book to attend a Classroom Course, in addition to the services of an expert instructor, you will get a searchable secure copy of the course manual which includes detailed notes to support each of the topics covered in the training. It is more like a data centre reference book than just course notes. Where the course also has an online version you will also be given a subscription to access to the online version of the course.

How long does my Training Certificate Last?

Unless otherwise stated Course Certificates are valid for 3 years.

How do I renew my Certification?

When your certificate nears expiry you will be sent an email detailing the process to renew your qualification. This will normally involve taking an update exam online and/or taking an update course. You may need a valid online course subscription to do this. Alternatively, you can attend the Classroom course and pass the exam.

How do I access the new Learning Management System(LMS)?

To access this Learning Management System you need a valid subscription. and a suitable device with a browser as described below.

What hardware and software will I need to access the course?

Our Online Courses run using an HTML5 compatible browser and should therefore work with latest versions of IE, Safari, Chrome and Firefox. If you have a problem please make sure are using the latest versions. If the problem persists please try an alternative browser. Our courses are intended to run on any device, PC, MAC, iPad, iPhone or any Android tablet or smartphone.

I lost my connection part way through the course?

In most cases, depending on what caused the loss of your connection, you should find that when you log back in the system has remembered where you got to.

How long will a course take to complete?

This will depend on the amount of time you have to spend on the course and your existing knowledge. The approximate time required to follow the course listening to the narrative is given in the course product details. However, this does not include the time you may wish to spend reading the accompanying detailed notes or reading more widely on the topics covered.

Is there a time limit to complete the course?

You can take as long as you like to complete the course but in order to do so you must have an active subscription. Your subscription period should allow plenty of time to complete the course but if your subscription expires then you will need to renew it to complete the course.
